The Afrobarometer national partner in Zambia, the Institute of Economic and Social Research(INESOR), interviewed a nationally representative, random, stratified probability sample of 1,200 adult Zambians between 3 August and 7 September 2022. A sample of this size yields country-level results with a margin of error of +/-3 percentage points at a 95% confidence level. Previous surveys have been conducted in Zambia in 1999, 2003, 2005, 2009, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2020, and 2022. The Institute for Development Studies (IDS) at the University of Nairobi provided technical backstopping for the survey.
