Survey Warehouse is Afrobarometer national partner in Namibia.

Survey Warehouse is an independent Namibian-owned market research company providing integrated research services to corporate, governmental, non-governmental, private, and academic entities. The company was established in 2006. Survey Warehouse currently employs five permanent staff members and a varying number of project staff. It has its offices in Windhoek, Namibia. Survey Warehouse is an organisational member of the Southern African Marketing Research Association (SAMRA) and operates under the professional guidelines set by the ICC/ESOMAR International Code on Market and Social Research.

The company offers a vast number of market-, socio-economic- and health-research products and services to an extensive range of local and international clients, using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The company works throughout Namibia and regularly deploys project staff on short-term contracts in all 14 regions of Namibia. Of these, approximately 50 are repeat staff members who have worked for the company over a number of years. The majority of staff members are university students or graduates. Specialized staff is subcontracted where necessary. Staff members have all been trained by Survey Warehouse on qualitative and quantitative techniques, and training is continuous in order to keep up with the latest international trends in surveying methods. The company also offers a call centre facility.

Quantitative studies require a rigorous methodological setup that involves substantive expertise in sampling, weighting, data processing, and analysis. Survey Warehouse works closely with statisticians and sampling specialists of the Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA). Sampling is done using the official national sample frame, which is also used for the weighting of data. The NSA also supplies geographic information system (GIS) maps for fieldwork. Making use of the national sample frame has the important benefit that survey data can be linked to important national survey data such as that generated by the census, interim census, labour and agricultural surveys, as well as income and expenditure surveys.

Over the past 20 years, Survey Warehouse has been the preferred research service provider to most of Namibia’s international and local consumers of market research. Some of its clients include donor agencies such as USAID, Population Council, Measure Evaluation, UNICEF, and CDC. Namibian clients include the Ministry of Health and Social Services, Ministry of Finance, Bank of Namibia, Financial Literacy Initiative (FLI), First National Bank Namibia, Standard Bank Namibia, Nedbank Namibia, Bank Windhoek, Agra, and MultiChoice Namibia.

Survey Warehouse has conducted fieldwork for the Afrobarometer survey since its inception in 1999. As of 2019, it is the sole Namibian National Partner, a position it previously shared with the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR). The latter was responsible for results dissemination. The Round 7 Survey, which took place at the end of 2017, was the first time Survey Warehouse implemented the entire survey using an electronic data capturing (EDC) system.
