Afrobarometer SDG scorecards

In 2015, all United Nations member states adopted the Sustainable Development Goals as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

Tracking progress toward these goals is challenging but essential for informing national decision-making.

Afrobarometer survey data can make a unique contribution by providing a little-heard perspective – that of the ordinary citizen in Africa.

Newly developed Afrobarometer SDG Scorecards highlight citizens' experiences and evaluations of their country's performance on democracy and governance, poverty, health, education, energy supply, water and sanitation, inequality, gender equity, and other SDG priorities that can be compared to official UN tracking indicators.
