About the Programme

The School of Government and Public Policy is pleased to invite applications for PhD studentships offered by the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science and the University of Strathclyde's Student Excellence Awards (SEA).

 

Eligibility

Promising candidates will have already or be expected to obtain, a first-class honours degree or a master's degree with distinction.

 

Project Details

The School of Government and Public Policy is pleased to invite applications for PhD studentships offered by the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science and the University of Strathclyde's Student Excellence Awards (SEA). These awards will cover student fees (SGSSS at International level, SEA at UK rates) and a stipend equivalent to UKRI rates for the length of the PhD and master's degree (where appropriate). Promising candidates will have already or be expected to obtain, a first-class honours degree or a master's degree with distinction.

Candidates from outside the UK will be considered for both SGSSS and SEA, but in case of SEA might be required to pay the difference between the Home and EU/International fee.

The HaSS Faculty offers high quality facilities within its purpose-designed Graduate School premises and world-leading training through the University's PG Certificate in Postgraduate Researcher Development.

We invite applications from candidates across all fields of empirical political science, with a specific emphasis on comparative politics, public policy or international relations. Enclose the following documents with your application:
