Moroccans welcome open trade and see the United States as the best model for the country’s development, according to the latest Afrobarometer survey.
Large majorities say that in order to develop, Morocco must trade with other countries and allow foreign businesses to operate in their country instead of protecting domestic producers from competition.
They are divided as to whether the country should fund national development through its own resources or rely on foreign loans.
